Hardwood Chess Board
These awesome Black Walnut and Hard Maple Chess Boards may not make you a better chess player, but they sure will make you look better during your next game!
The chess boards themselves are made from contrasting Black Walnut and Hard Maple with a decorative Maple and Walnut border. The chess game board rises above this border to give it a floating look, while the edge of the border has a distinctive beading treatment.
On the back, felt protects the underside of the game board while rubber feet lets the board safely and securely rest on nearly any flat surface.
The board is finished with a professionally sprayed pre-catalyzed conversion varnish finish which gives a very subtle glow to the contrasting walnut and maple board (and provides a very durable finish).
